Hi, my name is Ruth T and I am a female home carer with experience in providing live-in care. I have dedicated my career to helping individuals with various care needs, including those with Mild Cognitive Impairment, Parkinson's Disease, Anxiety, and Depression.
I have a genuine passion for supporting those who are bedbound and require specialized assistance. My skills include bathing, toileting, assisting with dressing, and catheter care. However, my caregiving extends beyond just physical tasks. I believe in providing companionship and emotional support as well, as I understand the importance of connection and engagement for overall well-being.
Although I don't have a car, I am able to drive and have a valid driver's license. This allows me to accompany clients in their own vehicle or utilize public transportation to run errands or attend appointments.
When I'm not caring for others, my hobbies include painting, walking, gardening, photography, and reading. These activities not only bring me joy but also help me to relax and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
In terms of pet preferences, I am comfortable working in households with cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, or birds. I understand the positive impact that pets can have on an individual's well-being and am more than happy to help care for them as well.

We employed Ruth as a carer for our elderly father and she became an integral part of his life - someone we could trust which was vital as family members live some distance away. Ruth is a bright energetic person with a great vocation for her caring duties. She really does care and will go the extra mile for people. Dad didn’t suffer fools gladly and he appreciated Ruth’s proactive and ‘can do’ spirit. She helped Dad holistically, not just in a practical sense - domestic duties and personal care but also bringing her good humour and cheerfulness which lifted his spirits. She is intelligent and sensitive and has a good sense of her professional role and the boundaries this entails. She kept in good contact with us without prompting and demonstrated her awareness of the limits and requirements of her role. I would have no hesitation in recommending her as a carer.
